I’m Katie, the owner of By KT’s Beauty, est 2026.
I qualified as a lash technician in 2020 at just 16 years old. While completing a hair apprenticeship, I started offering lash treatments on the side, balancing my training with building my skills and growing my client base.
After a year, I realised my true passion was in the beauty industry, so I made the decision to leave college and focus on my lash career full-time. To support myself while growing my business, I worked part-time in a local pub, dedicating every spare moment to building my clientele.
Through hard work, consistency, and a genuine passion for making my clients feel confident, my business continued to grow. What started as a side hustle has become a career I’m incredibly proud of, and I love welcoming both new and returning clients, helping them feel their absolute best.

Fast forward to 2026, and my journey has grown beyond just treating clients. Since becoming a qualified lash and brow educator in October 2024, I’ve proudly handed out over 75 qualifications, with students beginning their own careers in the beauty industry.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the trust my students have in me. I’ve welcomed aspiring technicians from outside of Yorkshire with students travelling from Warrington, Liverpool, Scarborough and Bradford, York, and many surrounding areas to train with me. Even those who have other training providers closer to home chose to learn with me, which is something I’ll never take for granted.
My goal has always been to provide high-quality, supportive training that gives every student the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills they need to succeed. Seeing my students go on to build their own businesses and achieve their goals is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Now, I’ve taken the biggest leap of my career and invested in something I’ve dreamed about since I first qualified at just 16 years old—launching my own lash brand.
After years of working with countless products, educating aspiring lash artists, and listening to what technicians really need, I knew I wanted to create a brand that reflected my own high standards. Every product has been carefully chosen with quality, reliability, and performance in mind, because I only ever want to offer products that I genuinely believe in and use myself.
This brand is the result of years of hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for the beauty industry. From starting out as a 16-year-old with a dream to building a successful business, becoming an educator, and now creating my own brand, this is just the beginning. I can’t wait to continue supporting both my clients and fellow lash artists on their own journeys.
